I am planning a trip to Scotland June 11 - 22, 2008. I am particularly interested in the Antonine Wall. Will you have any exursions during that time? Is it possible someone knowledgable could give me a little time for a one day tour?
Hi molly, I checked the NMRS entry for Mugdock Castle and there is a manuscript reference in our archive. It states that we have a note book and some sketches and reads: 'Note book, notes and sketch of trench V for Discovery and Excavation, 1958, 40.' Have you checked DES for 1958? Let me know if you want to see the notebook.
Hi folks. looking for any information on a small excavtion of a trench in Mugdock Castle in 1958. I think GAS carried out the excavation. Looking for any reports/findings if anyone knows I would be most grateful.
Any chance of a brief informal update on the Pollok excavation in advance of the preliminary report? It would be good for those volunteers who were only there for a couple of days to know what the 'state of play' was on the final day of the excavation.
looking for someone who is familar with Cumbernauld area. Council local plan makes reference to Chapel and Village at Auchenkilns as a site of archaeological interest
Do student members get full membership privileges for their £8 or do they need to pay £18? I'm a student but I'd rather have the full membership.

Hi.
I'm a history major from Texas. Does anyone know anything about Dr. Eric Talbot, or how I might be able to reach him?

A couple of years ago, I noticed a large iron door set into the summit of the Roman fort at Bearsden. I have not been able to find out when or why this appeared. Can anyone shed any light on this?
